Supreme Religious Authority re-emphasizes taking care of the young

In Friday’s Sermon held at the Imam Hussain Shrine on July 26, 2019, the representative of the Shia Muslim Supreme Religious Authority, sayyid Ahmed EsSafi, re-emphasized the necessity of supporting the young for they form an important social class and are an indicator of any society’s vigor.

EsSafi said any society that depends on young people is an active society, and the society that doesn’t depend on young people tends to be inactive.

He noted that taking care of young people doesn’t mean neglecting other social classes, citing Imam Ali’s saying, “An elderly man’s opinion is dearer to me than a young person’s attack for victory.”

He added that governmental institutions concerned – along with family and other organizations – ought to take this responsibility by providing the young with the best atmosphere possible and facilitating their seeking prospects.

He advised the young to seek advice from the experienced and learn how to depend on themselves. In addition, he advised that young people should be receptive and listen to their fathers and teachers.

EsSafi concluded, addressing the relevant authorities to support the young, noting that young people should be patriotic and knowledgeable to best serve their country.
