The advisor of the president of the Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Abdullah Hasan, said – at the Fifth International Tarateel Sejjadeya Festival – that the Treatise on Rights by Imam Essejjad (Peace Be Upon Him) forms the key starting point toward building a coherent society in which social justice and equity are practiced, and where everyone practices tolerance with one another and respects others’ viewpoints.
In a speech he delivered, Hasan said, “The Treatise on Rights by Imam Essejjad (Peace Be Upon Him)—ever since it was written 14 centuries ago—has been the constitution that fully covers all the human rights principles we need in this day and age. This Treatise on Rights is the most important book on the face of the earth after the Noble Quran, for it ensures all humanity all legitimate rights.”
He noted that anyone who read the Treatise on Rights can see that people, especially Muslims, need to adopt it to build the fundamentals of peaceful, civilized and cultural coexistence.
Hasan concluded, saying, “As leaders of countries; missionaries; scientists and thinkers, we need this Treatise on Rights to combat extremism, terrorism and ISIS’s ideology that destroyed the infrastructure of Islam and distorted its true image.”
