Within the lattice-enclosed tomb of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him), there is a door, which leads into the lattice-enclosed tomb.
The door made of gold and silver is known as the Door of Permission, because the person who needs to enter should ask permission – as a sign of respect to the Imam –, and for the door is of holiness for being part of the lattice-enclosed tomb.
The door is rarely opened: when cleaning or scenting is required.
This door exists since the wooden first lattice-enclosed tomb was made hundred years ago.
