El-Quds Company has stated that Esh-Shuheda basement – inside the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine – will be achieved soon.
The basement will play a vital role in facilitating the traffic of millions of pilgrims when they come to the holy city of Kerbela during the grand pilgrimages to make a pilgrimage to Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him).
The area of the whole project is 1200 square meters and 5 meters deep. It has been equipped with the best devices, such as the sprinkler system, fire alarms, smoke detectors, and fire extinguishers, in addition to elevators.
The head of engineers has said that the project has reached advanced stages.
