Three million persons have presented a carpet - made of pure silk - to the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine.
The carpet shows the name of Imam Ali (Peace Be Upon Him), the dome of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, and narcissus flowers; indicating Lady Nergis – mother of Imam El-Mehdi (Peace Be Upon Them) whose name in Arabic means “narcissus,’ and other flowers that indicate the martyrs who sacrificed themselves to protect the holy shrines of Iraq and Syria.
