Imam Hussein Holy Shrine has announced holding a conference on monuments and heritage, for they represent people’s culture and identity.
The conference carrying the title: “Devastating Monuments is Obliterating Nations’ Cultures,” will be held on the 8th of Sha'ban month A.H., corresponding to 3 July 2017, on the anniversary of devastating the graves of the Ahlul-Bayet (Peace Be Upon Them) in Al-Baqi.
It will be an international conference due to figures attending from different countries, in addition to presenting international legal documents concerning the holy shrines and churches to discussed at the conference.
The conference aims for driving away the accusation, which has been fastened to Islam, claiming that Islam is against culture, history, and the heritage of nations.
