Sunni Muslim cleric sends message to Anbar, Nainawa, Salah Al-Din

 

Dr. Majid Selman El-Fehdawi, religious leader of the Islamic denomination called Wasat; a justly balanced way of life, avoiding extremes and experiencing things in moderation, in Anbar City, along with a group of figures, has visited the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, and met up with sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Kerbela’e, representative of the Shia Muslim Supreme Religious Authority.

 

El-Fehdawi, during the meeting, said, “The call of the Shia Muslim Supreme Religious Authority for peaceful co-existence and the abandonment of extremism aims to unify all the Iraqis.”

 

“We have heard that the representative of the Shia Muslim Supreme Religious Authority, in a Friday’s sermon, focusing on the unity of religious constructive and moderate speech, especially in Anbar City, Nainawa City, and Salah Al-Din City in order to save Iraq,” added El-Fehdawi.

 

He added further that the call for unity had its great impact on stabilizing the Muslims in Iraq, and they would conduct a series of meetings to confirm the concept of peaceful co-existence and Islamic fraternity.
