The Mufi (religious jurist) of the Muslims of the Republic of Lithuania, Ramadhan Yaqoob, said that the terror organizations, such as ISIS, do not target a specific group of people or a certain religious denomination, but they target all humanity.
Yaqoob said that after participating in the 13th Martyrdom Spring International Cultural Festival annually held by the Imam Hussein and the El-Abbas Holy Shrines on the anniversary of the blessed births of Imam Hussein, Imam Es-Sejjad, and El-Abbas (Peace Be Upon Them).
Clerics play a vital role in combating the radical ideology and limiting it, added Yaqoob.
The Shia Muslim Supreme Religious Authority practiced the genuine Islamic principles when he issued the verdict of taking up arms against ISIS and supporting the displaced families, because the principle of religion is to do good and help the others; this is the same principle all religions share, added further Yaqoob.
Meetings, cnferences, and festivals, such as the 13th Martyrdom Spring International Cultural Festival, are important to understand one another, to know about other people’s culture, and to know about different thoughts; such elements achieve peace, mentioned Yaqoob.
