Kerbela International Airport is to receive first airplane in 24 months

 

Expert technicians and architects said that the first airplane would land at Kerbela International Airport in 24 months.

 

That was said in a meeting with the custodian of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine sheikh Abdul-Mehdi El-Kerbela’e, and the Secretary-General of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine sayyid Je’fer El-Musewi.

 

Mehdi Esh-Shaher, head of Es-Sebtain Constructional Company, said they prepared the blueprint for the runway, which would be 4500 meters long. In addition, they have been working on establishing the communication tower of the airport, which is 63 meters high.
