Et-Tufoof Paramilitary Brigade of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine stated that they stopped a tremendous attack launched by ISIS on Hejf Town – West Mosul City.
Qasim Muslih, brigade commander, said ISIS attempted to make a gap through which they would attack other military bases.
Muslih also said that his brigade used light and heavy weapons in stopping ISIS’s attack and caused them losses in lives and gear. He said further that ISIS militants fled when his brigade used Et-Tufoof-One and Qasim-One missiles against them.
Muslih, after expelling ISIS and eliminating many of them, wondered why the Iraqi military air force and artillery did not respond to his brigade’s calls for support.
It is worth mentioning that the brigade began to make close-range and long-range missiles from raw materials they found in ISIS’s locations.
