Swords at Imam Hussein and El-Abbas Holy Shrines' museums

The researcher and historian of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, Se'eed Resheed Zmeazim, said that the number of the swords at the museum of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine is fewer than what is available at the museum of the El-Abbas Holy Shrine; and that is because El-Abbas (Peace Be Upon Him) was the Commander of the army of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him). Therefore, those of the rulers and kinds, back in the day, who visited the El-Abbas Holy Shrine, presented their personal or own swords – as a sign of respect and honor to the unique bravery El-Abbas (Peace Be Upon Him) truly and faithfully demonstrated.

He said further that the majority of the antiquities and valuables at the museum of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine had been presented by such kings and rulers, and some swords and shields are 300 and 700 years old.
