Chinese Ambassador to Iraq: We appreciate Es-Systani's efforts, and it's start for relations

 

The Imam Hussein Holy Shrine received the Chinese ambassador to Iraq, Chen Weiqing, during a visit he made in terms of expressing his respect to the Iraqi people, culture, and history.

 

Prior to his visit, he said that he was impressed by Imam Hussein, (Peace Be Upon Him).

 

After visiting the holy city of Kerbala, he said that Kerbala represents the spiritual capital for Iraqi people. He also said that Iraq was the first Arab country that established diplomatic relations with China, and there are 23 million Muslims in China, who play a major role in building China.

 

He praised the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority, his Eminence sayyid Ali Es-Systani for his major role in maintaining the peace, independence, and sovereignty of Iraq.
