Amid a sorrowful atmosphere, employees of the Imam Hussein Holy shrine have made a pilgrimage by proxy to Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him), on behalf of Sheikh Nimr and those who have been executed with him by the Saudi Arabia’s government. Wela’ Es-Seffar, director of the Electronic Media Division of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, stated that the pilgrimage made was a commemoration of the martyrdom of Sheikh Nimr and the other people executed with him. The pilgrimage by proxy made coincided with the condemnation of the execution of Sheikh Nimr, issued by the office of the Islamic Religious Authority, His Eminence sayyid Ali Es-Systani, through which heartfelt condolences were expressed.
