Important project to be achieved before coming Arbaeen

The Imam Hussain Shrine has announced launching a project to connect its new-build basements.

Project’s supervising engineer Selam Saadoon said, “In compliance with the directives of the custodian of the Imam Hussain Shrine, sheikh Abdul-Mehdi Elkerbela’i, the company started, last week, to implement the first steps of the project to connect the Imam Hussain Shrine’s basements.”

Saadoon added that the first step will include building two pathways from the southern side of the shrine to the lattice-enclosed tomb.

He indicated that the project should be complete before the coming Arba’een pilgrimage, noting that this project will contribute to reducing the crowd of pilgrims by providing them with more space.
