Clerics express admiration for Hussainian service volunteer groups devoted to serving Arbaeen pilgrims

A group of clerics, accompanied by tribal chiefs from Mosul, Anbar, and Kiruk cities, has visited the holy city of Kerbela, made a pilgrimage to Imam Hussain (Peace Be Upon Him), and met with the representative of the Shia Muslim Supreme Religious Authority, sheikh Abdul-Mehdi ElKerbela’ey.

Adviser Qaidar ElE’reji from Al-Elbayet Center in Mosul City expressed his admiration for the Hussainian service volunteer groups’ generosity and wholehearted devotion to Arba’een pilgrims.

ElE’reji said to the website of the Imam Hussain Shrine, “What is happening in Kerbela these days reflects a great image of solidarity.”

He added, “What we have seen – in Kerbela – in terms of the Arba’een pilgrimage and the efforts made to help pilgrims is impressive,” noting the role of the security forces and the popular mobilization forces in cracking down ISIS and liberating the Iraqi cities, which contributed spreading the sense of security throughout the country.

ElE’reji emphasized the importance of holding dialogues between the segments of the Iraqi people, calling for discarding sectarianism.

He said further that such meetings and dialogues held by clerics of different religious denominations are a message to those who attempted to disunite the Iraqi people and the Islamic nation according to Zionist-ISIS’s schemes.
