Nineteen countries participate in Tarateel Sejjadeya's Fifth International Festival

In commemoration of the upcoming martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali Essejjad (Peace Be Upon Him), the Imam Hussain Shrine has stated that 19 countries are going to participate in Tarateel Sejjadeya's Fifth International Festival.

Jamal Eddeen Esh-Shehristani – festival preparatory committee chairman – said that the participating countries: Russia, France, Turkey, Iraq, Lebanon, Oman, China, India, Singapore, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Senegal, Sudan, Mauritania, Morocco, and Nigeria, will present their researches and studies in the festival, which will be attended by a large number of people, including remarkable figures from different religions and religious denominations.

“A contest for the best short story and a contest for the best photograph taken of a pilgrimage to Imam Hussain (Peace Be Upon Him), whether taken in or outside Iraq, will be part of the activities of the festival. And 250 photos from 30 countries the Imam Hussain Shrine has received so far,” added Esh-Shehristani.

The festival comprises various activities, such as an international book fair and theatrical performances that embody the principles of Imam Ali Essejjad (Peace Be Upon Him).

Esh-Shehristani concluded, saying, “The festival – which should begin on the 4th of October 2018 and continue for 3 days – aims to spread the Treatise of Rights and Peace of Imam Essejjad (Peace Be Upon Him) between all religions and religious denominations.”
