National Center for Quranic Sciences closes its Fifth Annual Week activities with announcing the winners' names

The National Center for Quranic Sciences which belongs to the Shiite Endowment Office has closed its Fifth Annual Week activities.The ceremony has been inaugurated with reciting verses of the Noble Quran, followed by a speech by the head of the center Dr. Adil El-Kinani, in which he mentioned the importance of taking care of the Noble Quran, in addition to increase the Quranic activities. He also extended his thankfulness for the efforts made by the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine in the Quranic Week.He added that such a contest demonstrates the national unity. It is about reciting, interpreting, and memorizing the Noble Quran. It's been held under the title of (with the lineage of Ahlulbait {PBUT} and Noble Quran, Iraq is united and safe.) The contest included 1800 participants.The organizing entity has presented prizes to the three winners of each contest. The three winners of the memorizers of the whole Noble Quran were: Isma'eel Ibrahim, the first winner, Ahmed Hasan Abbas, the second winner, and Mujeeb Mohammed Derweesh, the third winner. Winners of twenty chapters of the Noble Quran were: Ali Abdul Hadi, from Basrah, Jamal S'ood Jweaty, from El-Muthenna, and Haider Thamir Shemkhi. Winners of memorizing ten chapters of the Noble Quran were: Ali Mohammed Muhsin, from Maisan, Mohammed Abdul Reheem Mohammed from Kerbala, and Ibrahim Nasir Ali, from Maisan. In the field of Quran interpretation, the Quran interpreter Hemza Sabah Jasim, was the first winner, Mohammed Abdullah Muhsin, from Nainewa, was the second winner and Ali Musa Umran, from Kerbala was the third winner. In the field of Quran recitation, Ahmed Abbas Faraj – a recitier from Baghdad was the first winner, Ali Hussein Abid Ali, from Wasit was the second winner and Hussein Ali Hussein, from Babylon was the third winner.
