Aug 9, 2013. Second part of the Friday Sermon held in the Imam Hussein holy shrine, the representative of the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority and the preacher of the Friday Sermon in Kerbala city, his eminence Sheikh Abdul Mehdi El-Kerbala'i, emphasized that all the attitudes adapted by the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority are done due to the positive influence it has with the Iraqi population, and their trust. The Iraqi population has their deep trust in the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority because it always seeks the best and delivers what the general and public needs are. His eminence mentioned that whatever he mentioned in the Friday Sermons as an evaluation or constructive criticism especially the last period where there were problems with no solutions such as abuse of power, administrative corruption, high parliaments' pension, in addition to the unemployment, deterioration of the security status and lack of needs in some places. He also mentioned that the service demands of people are within the goals of Iraq's constitution, besides, service demands are one of the citizen's right to have. Based on that, the Islamic Supreme Religious Authority has the right to represent and claims the rights of Iraqis'. His eminence also underlined the continuity of the Friday Sermon in terms of delivering the voice of Iraqis' and their rights and needs. El-Kerbala'i, called the Iraqi parliament in its second legislative term in the current year to expedite the decision making of the retirement and pension laws, clarifying that the pension which is approximately 175-200 dollars would not provide the bare minimum of cost of living for any retired individual, especially those who spent more than 30 years of his life serving his country.
