Shaikh EL-Kerbala'i recommends voters not to abstent from electing & urges them to choose the most impartial & qualified

Mar 8, 2013. Second part of the Friday sermon held in the Imam Hussein holy shrine, the representative of the supreme religious authority and the preacher of the Friday sermon in Kerbala city, his eminence Shaikh Abdul Mahdy EL-Kerbala’I called for participating in the election and making a good choice in electing a candidate or list. He also said that some people abstained from voting in this election due to some aims not fulfilled yet, and he'd like to say that: 1. People's abstention from voting doesn’t solve a problem, and it might aggravate the status of our country, because some other people might take a position in power which is not suitable with them because of that. 2. It should be better this time due to the experience people gained during the time since the election started in Iraq. 3. Some local councils did something, and some did not do anything remarkably, but at least, they might do something better than nothing. Some of them might fail because of mismanagement or something else, so we should learn something from our mistakes to correct in the future. 4. The impartial and qualified candidate should be elected to truly serve our country.By: Mohammed Jasim
