Under the guidance of the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, the Holy Shrine's Crisis & Relief Cell announced that it would sponsor the transportation and treatment of the injured victims of the earthquake that struck Syria recently, as well as the elderly and cancer patients in the hospitals affiliated with Shrine (For free)
The cell member and public relations department deputy head Ahmed al-Fahad said during a phone-call meeting, " Under Shiekh al-Karbalaie's Guidance, a medical team affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Shrine was sent to Syria to help the Syrian victims of the earthquake a few days ago."
Al-Fahad added, " the medical, health, treatment, and humanitarian teams will be distributed to the affected Syrian areas to provide them with urgent assistance."
He continued, "After contacting the representative of the supreme religious authority, Sheikh Abd al-Mahdi al-Karbalai, by the head of the cell, Major General Ali al-Hamdani of Ali al-Akbar brigade affiliated with PMF, he instructed that the Shrine ensure the injured transportation, as well as other cases, elderly, cancer patients, with free treatment in the Shrine's hospitals, noting that the relief team is currently cooperating with both specialized Syrian & Iraqi authorities.
