Over (9000) mourning processions were Registered to commemorate the Arbaeen pilgrimage

The Department of religious rituals, and Hussaini mourning Processions, in Iraq and the Islamic world, affiliated with Imam Hussain and Al-Abbas holy shrines, announced their ongoing work to complete finishing the official approvals for the massive Arba'een processions, indicating that, the registration will be available until the (10th) day of Safar.

The head of the department, Aqeel Abdul-Hussain al-Yasiri, said in an interview with the official website, that "the registrations started since the 25th of Muharram.

Noting that The total number of mourning processions registered has reached (9,000) processions, and the department has set up all the preparations with an integrated security plan in cooperation with the local government, the Operations Command, and the Two Holy Shrines Regiment"

He added that " giving authorities and permits to the processions owners, are highly restricted to those who are well-known and identified by our administration or our representatives inside or outside Iraq.
