New water desalination plants to be installed in Kerbela

The Water Treatment Division of the Department of Maintenance at the Imam Hussain Shrine announced its intention to install new water desalination plants in the city of Kerbela.

Engineer Mo’min Hasan Ibrahim said, “New water desalination plants have been installed in the south of the city of Kerbela and operated with a productive capacity of approximately 12m3/h.”

The staff works persistently to fully install a water desalination plant in Elamil quarter, with a productive capacity of approximately 6m3/h, added Ibrahim.

“All the water desalination plants, affiliated with the Imam Hussain Shrine, provide RO water, at no cost, 24/7,” indicated Ibrahim.

It’s worth mentioning that the Imam Hussain Shrine has installed 47 water desalination plants in the city of Kerbela and its districts and 8 ones in the city of Basrah.
