A new rug weaving course for the Al-Kafeel Museum staff at al-Abbas Holy Shrine kicked was held in order to maintain and preserve the rare rugs found inside the museum.
Museum Curator Sadiq Laazem spoke to Al-Kafeel Network about this course stating, "Within the program of developing the skills of the staff of Al-Kafeel Museum of Treasures and Manuscripts, the museum held its twelfth session to learn the art of rug weaving. It is one of many courses organized by the museum in different fields.
The course was aimed at raising the efficiency of the workers in this field and contributing to the preservation of this industry from extinction, as well as developing and imparting the technical skills necessary in the field of weaving and rehabilitation of carpets.
