Arba'een pilgrims remember and recognize Iraq's martyrs' efforts

“Had it not been for the martyrs, we would not have been able to walk to Kerbela” is a motto written on a large sign and carried by a group of people who came on foot to the holy city of Kerbela to commemorate the Arba’een anniversary of Imam Hussein (Peace Be Upon Him).

The group of people came from El-Qasim district – Babylon city, carrying 325 pictures of their martyrs who fought ISIS, and laid down their lives for Iraq. Carrying the sign came in recognition of the sacrifice of the martyrs in protecting Iraq and granting the Iraqi people the opportunity to live honorably.
