Shia Muslims Supreme Religious Authority's instructions to celebrators of Awaited Imam's birth

The Shia Muslim Supreme Religious Authority has instructed the pilgrims coming to Kerbela to commemorate the anniversary of the blessed birth of the Awaited Imam Mohammed El-Mehdi (May God Hasten His Reappearance) the following:

- Appearances of happiness should highly regard the exceptional events Iraq has been going through.

- Celebrators should not forget their brothers in faith “those who are fighting ISIS,” without whose sacrifice our happiness would have been grief; such patriotic defenders and their heroism should be remembered.

- The love for the Awaited Imam Mohammed El-Mehdi (Peace Be Upon Him) should be truly expressed, because the Imam is the link through which we can be connected to God. And the more we are connected to the Imam, the more we are connected to God.

- We should always pledge allegiance to the Imam so as not to forget we are spiritually connected to him.

- True Muslim believers should remind themselves that they have an Imam to whom they are obliged to pledge allegiance; such allegiance requires supreme morals and demeanor.

- Reciting the supplication known as El-Ehed with being aware of its meaning and the allegiance to the Imam (Peace Be Upon Him) in it.

- Feeling what the Imam is feeling, such as sadness, concerns, tragedies, and ordeals throughout the ages.

- Following the Imam and his course of life, we should actively work for ourselves and for our society.
