Al-Wareth International Foundation for Oncology, affiliated with the Health and Medical Education Authority at the Holy Shrine, announced its statistics on examining and treating cancer fighters under the age of (15) years, which the Shrine pays for (for free).
The head of the commission, Dr Haider al-Aabedi, said in an interview, "Since the inauguration of this vital foundation and under Sheikh Al-Karbalaei's guidance, we started receiving and treating hundreds of patient children with cancer, and under super caring supervision and treatments in addition, it is (for free)."
He explained that "during the past months of 2023, the Foundation received (3456) cases," pointing out that "during April only, (1184) patients were provided with treatments."
It is stated that the Shrine, under the Chief Clerk's guidance, has provided services to (10444) children since its inauguration; all these cases were (for free), although it cost a lot.
