A large number of Arba’een pilgrims – from Iraq and other countries – are walking toward the holy city of Kerbela to commemorate the Arba’een pilgrimage to Imam Hussain (Peace Be Upon Him).

Imam Hussain Shrine’s TV interviewed pilgrims on their way to Kerbela—they expressed their heartfelt love for Imam Hussain (Peace Be Upon Him) and how they greatly honor him, for he is the master of the martyrs and the wise person from whom people should learn the sublimest principles of ethics and humanity. Pilgrims also said it is important to remmeber the Iraqi martyres who sacrificed themselves during the war against ISIS to protect Iraq and preserve the Arba'een pilgrimage.

Among many pilgrims Imam Hussain Shrine’s TV interviewed an elderly woman, who said that she lost three of her sons who laid their lives for Iraq during the war against ISIS, saying “My tragedy is similar Lady Zaineb’s (Peace Be Upon Her); I have lost three loved ones—three sons.”

Pilgrims also expressed how honored they truly feel when they serve the Arba’een pilgrims, walk toward Kerbela, and commemorate the Arba’een pilgrimage.

It is noteworthy that the holy city of Kerbela received millions of pilgrims from inside and outside Iraq during the last few days.
