Women’s Media Division establishes activities in various Islamic countries

The Women’s Media Division at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine deals with the cultural and religious activities held exclusively for women locally and internationally.

“The division has established symposiums, conferences and contests for women inside Iraq and abroad such as the ‘What is Meant? Contest’ in Syria to disseminate the culture of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and the Ashura Supplication Memorization Contest in Pakistan, which witnessed a wide participation,” said Head of the Division, Nada al-Jelahawy.

“We are looking forward to establishing and expanding our activities based on the principles of Lady Zainab, peace be upon her, in all Islamic countries and raising the media level of Muslim women through what we offer from courses, contests and workshops in all fields," al-Jelahawy added.

The Women’s Media Division was established in late 2015 and is one of the divisions for women at Imam Hussain Holy Shrine.
