Symposium gathers figures to clarify Supreme Religious Authority's speech supporting demonstrations

The Religious Information and Teaching Division of the Imam Hussein Shrine has held a symposium to clarify the details of the speech of the Shia Muslim Supreme Religious Authority, his Eminence sayyid Ali Esistani in regards to the current demonstrations.

Shaikh Fahim Elebrahimey – division director – said, “The symposium has been held in coordination with the representative of the Shia Muslim Supreme Religious Authority, where more than 500 tribal figures, chiefs, members of the nobility of El-Musaieb District – Babylon City; clerics; scholars; academics; and security leaders attended.”

He also said that the speech, delivered last week, was explained in detail as to how the demonstrations ought to run, provided that their peacefulness must be maintained, for these demonstrations are staged to claim the society’s demands.
