Imam Hussein Holy Shrine commemorates lady Khedeejeh's martyrdom

On the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Khedeejeh, wife of the Prophet Mohammed (God’s Blessings Be Upon Him and His Pure Family), El-Hewra Zaineb Center of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, in cooperation with the Youth Care Division, has held Well of Kowther Festival on Lady Khedeejeh's life (Peace Be Upon Her).

Each tenth of Ramadhan month, Muslims commemorate lady Khedeejeh’s (Peace Be Upon Her) martyrdom.

She was martyred in the year of sorrow, when Abo Talib, the Prophet’s uncle, passed away.

The festival included a lecture by sheikh Hebeeb El-Kadhimi in which he talked about Lady Khedeejeh’s life, and how she spent her life supporting the Prophet.

El-Kadhimi said that women ought to learn many lessons from Lady Khedeejeh (Peace Be Upon her) in order to improve the society.
